I've only posted to lj twice this year, looking back through old entries when i sometimes posted twice a day! But these days I guess social networking has moved along from lj and i only really come on her now to post pictures of josh to a kitty group.
It's less than two months to go until Craig and I get married and it's weird because the whole time I have been writing my lj I've been with Craig and now at last we are getting married.
Nothing else exciting is happening, wedding planning takes over your life

i never post in here anymore, in fact i dont really 'blog' anywhere online anymore. i've found too many websites and seem to be wasting my life checking them and updating. i started a blog about my cat josh, got instantly accepted into the cat blogging blogosphere or whatever it's called and instantly had about 1,000 friends and blogs to read. i work full time - i dont have the time!
right now i am snowed into my house, i can get the car off the drive but not so much off the estate. i did try going to work today got not very far, came home and have been working from home all day* read mucking about on flickr
craig and i have at last set a date for our wedding, 20 nov this year. i am already realising why we put it off, it's the biggest headache ever and it's like 10 months away, i already cannot be arsed.
does everything still post here, or are there any blogs i should be adding to my blog lists? i'm more likely to read yours than one that is supposed to be written by a cat ♥

Can anyone get hold of these Hershey dark chocolate mint kisses? Karen bought me a bag from New York but can anyone get hold of these easily? I can send the dosh through straight away through paypal
i found them on ebay here but the postage is crazy and i'm sure it doesn't cost that much to post them!

it's easy to update in bullet points
1. i'm getting tattooed on saturday, i cant wait - with work commitments and my tattooist now being so flipping popular i've waited two months for this appointment
2. new job is going well, my job title is now communications specialist but the lady doing the name badges spelt my job title wrong and it says communications specalist
3. through my new job i have managed to get a counsellor. i've not had one since uni and it's hard to get one without paying but now i'm working for the national health service i can have six sessions for free
4. my foster kittens go to a new foster home tomorrow - its going to be strange because i've had their mum martha since June and i will be very sad to see her go
5. we got a new cooker this week, it's black and lovely but it needs to be wired in - i love how i am so old that i'm excited about a new cooker
6. 28 days until i go to Toronto - must sort out credit card before i go!
7. i've now lost enough weight to go down a dress size, i cant seem to shift those two pounds to make it a stone and half that i've lost. i'm trying hard but it's taking forever
8. 21 days until i am 27, i dont feel that old, i just bought a hoodie from H and M with little animals all over it, i am never ready to grow up

1. my foster kittens puffin and scamp went to live with another fosterer today, i dont have the room for them as they've got so big, it was quite sad and i got a sudden attack of hayfever
2. only about 40days until i go to Toronto
3. only about 2 weeks until i get my tattoo half sleeve finished
4. Craig and I have pretty much decided where we're getting married, just need to book it
5. i've been on a diet and i've lost 1st and 4lbs so far which is nice
6. sunday is my day off my diet and we're having chinglish tonight (chinese takeaway england style)
7. i'm wathing the first season on the OC, i forgot how much i loved Seth and Ryan in like a teenage crush way
8. I still really miss George, sometimes I forget he's dead and i think i see him.
9. we've done some really nice decorating and had some new carpet put down and our house is looking more like a home and less like a student house
10. heroes starts this week, actually running at the same time as the states and i can't wait

Last night Craig, my bro Rob and I went to see Stevie Wonder. This is me and Rob outside beforehand with a W for wonder. I was so excited (i dont look it).
When he came onto the stage (with his daughter) I cried. I've wanted to see Stevie wonder since I heard 'I wish' when I was about 16.
It was a great concert, i had such a good time and he played all my favourite songs and I danced and it was just great. I loved it.
in other news, this is Himba one of the kittins we're fostering, i'd love to keep her so much

George was put to sleep on Monday, at just after 8pm. I held him in my arms whilst the vet gave him the injection and I just felt like my world collapsed.
George meant so much to me. Ever since I've had my own house George has been there and now the house feels so quiet and empty (even with seven other cats). I loved him so much and I did everything I could for him. Right now I just feel so guilty and sad and miss him so so so so much.
We buried him in the garden and planted a walnut tree on him and tons of bulbs to come up in the spring.
I miss him so much and just feel so sad

George is really quite poorly and I think I have no choice but to have him put to sleep tonight. I remember the day i met george and (1 feb 2004) and i posted in my lj how i wanted so bad to adopt him. I am heartbroken

I'm writing a paper on citizen journalism, I hate writing essays and I keep getting distracted by the internet and looking at pointless things.
The pregnant cat i am fostering is so fat, I keep hoping she'll give birth soon. especially since i'm going away this weekend to a friend's wedding and will have to leave craig in charge of her! I've got to go shopping tomorrow for a dress for the said wedding and then use the same dress again for another wedding in august. I'm trying to lose weight and have shifted half a stone, only about another two stone to go until i get down to a reasonable weight.
Hmm i thought i had more to post about than this...

my guinea pig maggie (brown pig) died today. when i came home last night from work she was lying flat out in her run and not moving and she was all swollen and full of fluid. i rushed her to the guinea pig lady who lives near me and she said she might have eaten something poisonous. it looks like she did, as she had kidney failure. Her pal Maude (white pig) is quite sad too. :(

Last week was good five good things happened
five - I got a tax refund of £250
four - I got offered a new job
three - I got a merit in the 2nd module of my PR course
two - The magazine I do at work won an award
one - Nadal won Wimbledon
luck like this doesn't happen to me, something bad is bound to happen soon :(

craig and i are on holiday on the isle on mull, we're off home tomorrow but we went to see puffins today and they were GREAT. i did use a zoom lens for these pics but they were just so cute, i just wanted to put one in my pocket and take it home!

my internet connection has been broken for the past two weeks and even now i can only get it to work through a cable and not wireless.
some stuff i've been up to:
- i just read the first no 1 detective agency book and i really loved it, i'm now reading the second
- my garden is looking lovely, when i get a new card reader i will post a picture
- we have a hedgehog visiting the garden, i tried to give it some cat food but Perkins ate it
- i've just bought the flight of the conchords cd, cant wait for it to arrive
- i love Chuck, the tv show, so cute
- my cross stitch is getting closer to completion
- my penpal on death row has come up with this great idea where i reproduce his pictures (which are very good) onto cards, and sell them for him. I dont know how to tell him, i dont have the time and also that most of my friends (in the uk - non online) are pro death penalty and wouldn't buy them. I wish he hadn't asked me...
- i painted my bedroom two weekends ago, three walls are lilac and one is a deep aubegine colour, not sure how to spell aubegine though, not a word i write that often
- connie got sunburnt at the weekend even though i put suncream on her and she now has a tan
- two weeks to go until craig finishes his exams and i can have my boyfriend back
- we're off to scotland in a month's time and i can't wait

i got tattooed again today, i wonder if i am getting too old for all this shit. some girl (probably like 18) kept peeking her head round the door staring at me. Her in her kitch headband, token 80s throw back stuff and scene haircut just made me feel old old old. me and jeff (my tattooist) just said loudly how she shouldnt be there and she left. it's his shop afterall.
in my head i am 18 but in reality i'm 26 and i cant relate to it

Craig and I just booked a little holiday to Scotland. Last time we went I was at uni in Newcastle so it wasn't such a drive but nowadays it's going to take us like a day to get there.
It's on the Isle of Mull and we have to take a cute little ferry across to get there. We chose there because there's lots of wildlife like otters, deer and eagles.

I got my scary tattoo done today, I call it scary as I was shit scared in having it done. Inside of my arm. You hear so much hype about how much it hurts and it's got to come from somewhere, well the truth is, it hurt like hell and my upper arm is about double in size.
